Job description (Work at Laboratory for Intracellular Dynamic Structure of Molecules (tentative)) • Team Director will contribute to the advancement of structural life sciences as a whole, with a focus on NMR. (Work at NMR Operation Team) • Team Director has responsibility to operate the NMR facilities in IMS. (Common tasks for both teams) • Team Director will oversee and smoothly manage the research team and NMR Operation Team. • Team Director provides accurate instructions, guidance, and advice to researchers and technical staff, etc. and promote research by the research team and NMR Operation Team at a high level. • Team Director will earn external research funding. • The job description may be changed during the contract period or upon contract renewal to the extent described above.
Qualification • PhD holder with the appropriate knowledge, experience and achievements to oversee and advance the research described under Research Field and Overview. • Ability to manage research teams and provide guidance to team members, and capabilities that will advance the laboratories’ research. • Experience managing and operating NMR equipment. *In principle, this is a full-time RIKEN position, but candidates interested in a cross-appointment, etc. should contact us.

RIKEN BioResource Research Center, Transcriptome-Epigenome Research Team (Team Director: Naoki Kubo)https://tet.brc.riken.jp/en/ We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher or Development Scientist to join the Transcriptome-Epigenome Research Team at the RIKEN BioResource Research Center (BRC), located in Tsukuba, Japan. Our team develops and applies cutting-edge genomic and epigenomic technologies—including single-cell transcriptome, epigenome, and 3D genome profiling—to elucidate the functions of non-coding genomic regions and gene regulatory mechanisms in mammalian development and diseases. We are particularly interested in multilayered omics analyses using a wide variety of biological resources, such as mouse models, human ES/iPS cells, and organoids. We also actively pursue the development of novel experimental and computational methods. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to independently lead their own project(s) in close consultation with the team director. We welcome applicants with experience in experimental and/or computational approaches in epigenetics, especially those with an interest in single-cell multiomics analysis.
