VDJ組換え成功？T細胞受容体だるま落とし

このだるま落としはT細胞受容体β（T-cell receptor β; TCRβ）遺伝子座のVDJ組換えをかたどっている。第一段階では一つのDと一つのJの間のDNA配列が取り除かれ、第二段階では一つのVとそのDとの間のDNA配列が除去される。一連の反応はRAG1/RAG2に触媒される。現在の状況は、第一段階が無事に済み、第二段階の最中、つまりV_β3-1とD_β1の間のDNA配列がRAG1とRAG2の印のついたハンマーで叩き出されているところである。アリルが2本あるのでチャンスは2回あるが、2回とも失敗すると細胞はアポトーシスを起こしてしまう。
