The Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences (FBS), Osaka University, invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Full Professor.
The FBS aims at performing interdisciplinary studies to elucidate mechanisms underlying biological processes and tries to foster scientists capable of such studies. We are seeking a qualified candidate investigating regulatory mechanisms in biological systems at various levels in molecular, cellular and organismal contexts, which includes molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, structural biology, bio-imaging, and brain science etc., primarily using animals, plants, their cells or microorganisms. The successful candidate is expected to be a cutting-edge scientist in his/her research field and should contribute to the promotion of interdisciplinary research and education at the FBS.
The professorship position will be open later than 2018. The nominee who takes this position will head a research/education group and is expected to recruit two additional faculty members in his/her group at the associate and assistant professor level. The associates/assistant professor positions are not tenured.
Salary shall be based on the ‘Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Staff. ’ or ‘Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Academic Staff Subject to Annual Salary System. ’
